Mounjaro price list by dose

The table below is the active dated dataset reduced to one row per dose. Every figure comes from an exact dose-and-price match read from a pharmacy’s own page, so a provider only counts toward a dose once its published amount for that specific strength has been observed and dated. The counts differ slightly between doses because not every provider publishes every strength.

Read the medians rather than the extremes. A single unusually high or low listing moves a range but barely moves a median, so the median column is the better description of what a typical UK pharmacy is publishing in the active manually controlled snapshot.

What a month of Mounjaro injections costs

Mounjaro is a once-weekly injection. A KwikPen holds four weekly doses, so a single-pen price normally covers four weeks, and the amounts in the table above can be read as roughly a month of treatment at that strength.

Mounjaro contains tirzepatide and is licensed in the UK for weight management and for type 2 diabetes. Nearly all of the private listings collected here are weight-management services, which is why the same product is priced and marketed as a weight-loss injection on most of the pages the figures were read from. Whether it is appropriate for a particular person is a matter for a prescriber, not for a price table.

That comparison only holds if the published amount is the whole amount. Some providers include delivery, consultation, needles and ongoing check-ins in the figure they advertise; others charge for them separately, and a few publish an introductory price that rises on the second order. We record the price basis captured for each row rather than converting everything into an assumed monthly total, because an assumed fee is not evidence.

Dose escalation also changes what a month costs over time. A prescriber starts at 2.5mg and reviews before any increase. Some people remain on a maintenance dose rather than progressing through every strength. Dose is a clinical decision and should never be chosen on price.

Boots, ASDA and other named pharmacies

High-street and supermarket brands are the names people search for first, so they are set out here explicitly. Their inclusion reflects what readers ask about, not an assessment: these pharmacies were not reviewed, rated or preferred, and they appear in alphabetical order like every other table on this site.

Neutral default: pharmacy A-Z.No pharmacy pays for inclusion or position. Recheck the provider’s own page before relying on an amount.

A familiar name does not predict where a price sits. In the current evidence, supermarket and high-street online services appear across the range rather than clustered at one end of it, and several smaller registered pharmacies publish amounts below the well-known brands. The supplying pharmacy must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Each profile above records the identity and registration evidence PharmacyScore holds, including a direct register link where that match has been verified.

Why Mounjaro prices went up

The single biggest event in UK Mounjaro pricing was Eli Lilly’s list-price increase, effective 1 September 2025. Pen list prices moved from a range of roughly £92 to £122 up to roughly £133 to £330, depending on strength, with the largest increases at the higher doses. Lilly described the change as bringing UK pricing into line with other developed markets.

NHS Business Services Authority subsequently redetermined Drug Tariff reimbursement prices, which it records in its tirzepatide price increase notice; Community Pharmacy England set out the same change in its September 2025 reimbursement summary. The price the NHS pays under its own negotiated agreement was not set by the list-price move, and NHS patients who pay prescription charges continued to pay the standard charge per item.

Private providers were affected directly, and did not respond identically. Some passed the increase through immediately, some staged it, and some held prices for a period. That is a large part of why the spread between the lowest and highest published price for the same dose is now as wide as the table above shows. We do not claim a month-on-month trend from a single snapshot; the monthly Mounjaro Price Index exists to record movement only once comparable editions have been archived under the same method.

Why the same dose costs different amounts

The price basis is not identical

A standard single-pen price, an introductory price for a first order and a subscription programme price are three different commercial things. Comparing the advertised number alone flatters whichever provider defers the most cost to later.

Different things are bundled in

Consultation, prescriber review, needles, delivery speed and ongoing support may be inside one provider’s figure and outside another’s. We record what the source establishes rather than adding an assumed fee.

Purchasing and margin differ

Providers buy at different terms and made different decisions about how much of the 2025 list-price increase to pass on. Two registered pharmacies can therefore publish very different amounts for the identical pen on the same day.

Prices move faster than most pages say

Published amounts change without notice. Every price on this site carries the date it was observed, so a reader can see how old the evidence is instead of assuming it is live.

Mounjaro prices near you

Searches for a Mounjaro price in a particular town are common, but the private market is mostly not local. The providers in this dataset are online pharmacy and prescribing services that deliver across the UK, so the published price for a given dose is generally the same whether the order is placed in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol or London. Delivery options and timescales vary by provider rather than by postcode.

Where a genuinely local pharmacy publishes a price on its own website, it is collected on the same terms as any other provider and appears in the same tables. There is no separate local price list, because inventing one would mean publishing figures we have not observed.

NHS Mounjaro versus private prices

NHS access and private provider prices are not two versions of the same retail offer. NHS weight-management prescribing is phased and governed by clinical and commissioning criteria, described in NHS England’s weight-management injection guidance. An NHS patient in England who pays prescription charges pays the standard charge per prescribed item, and some groups are exempt.

None of that is the private price. The full comparison — including what the NHS charge covers and why it cannot be set against a provider’s advertised figure — is in the NHS versus private Mounjaro price guide.

Checking a Mounjaro price before you pay

  1. Compare the exact strength your prescriber has authorised, not the starting dose price used in most advertising.
  2. Check whether the amount is a standard, introductory or programme price, and what it becomes on the second order.
  3. Open the provider’s own page and confirm delivery, consultation and support charges before checkout.
  4. Confirm the pharmacy’s General Pharmaceutical Council registration. Every PharmacyScore profile records the registration evidence held for that provider.
  5. Check how old the price evidence is. A dated observation is not a live quote, and amounts change without notice.
  6. Report side effects or product concerns through the MHRA safety reporting route, and speak to your prescriber before changing anything about your treatment.

Mounjaro price questions

How much does Mounjaro cost in the UK?

Across 120 UK pharmacy and provider websites, published Mounjaro prices ranged from £128.00 to £449.95 for a single pen, depending on the dose. The 2.5mg starting dose had a median published price of £159.99 and the 15mg dose a median of £305.00. Each figure is a dated observation of a published price, not a quote.

How much is Mounjaro per month?

A Mounjaro KwikPen holds four weekly doses, so a single-pen price normally covers four weeks. Most UK providers publish their price on that basis. Delivery, consultation and programme charges may sit outside the published amount, so the monthly total can be higher than the headline figure.

Is the Mounjaro weight loss injection the same product priced here?

Yes. Mounjaro contains tirzepatide and is licensed in the UK both for weight management and for type 2 diabetes, and the private listings collected here are overwhelmingly weight-management services. There is no separate weight-loss version of the pen with its own price list.

Why do Mounjaro prices vary so much between pharmacies?

Published amounts are set independently by each provider and are not always the same commercial basis. Some are standard single-pen prices, some are introductory or programme prices that change after the first order, and some bundle consultation, delivery or support differently. The price basis captured for each row is shown alongside it.

Why did Mounjaro prices increase in the UK?

Eli Lilly raised its UK list price for Mounjaro from 1 September 2025, moving pen list prices from a range of about £92 to £122 up to about £133 to £330 depending on strength. NHS Business Services Authority redetermined Drug Tariff reimbursement prices to match. Private providers absorbed or passed on that increase to differing degrees, which is part of why the published spread between providers is wide.

How much is Mounjaro at Boots?

The Boots Online Doctor observation held for the 2.5mg dose in this dated snapshot was £179.00. Named-pharmacy prices are shown in the article table with their observation dates and source links, and should be rechecked on the provider's own page before ordering.

Is Mounjaro available on the NHS?

NHS access for weight management is phased and based on clinical and commissioning criteria, so meeting a broad eligibility description does not by itself mean a prescription will be issued. NHS patients who pay prescription charges pay the standard charge per item rather than the private prices in this article.

Is the lowest published Mounjaro price the amount you actually pay?

Not necessarily. Eligibility, stock, delivery, consultation, ongoing support and commitment terms can all change the total. A published price is evidence of what a provider advertised on a given date, not a guarantee that the medicine is available or suitable for a particular person.

Can I buy Mounjaro without a prescription?

No. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine in the UK. It requires an individual clinical assessment by a prescriber, and supply must come from a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

How these prices were collected

Every amount in this article was read directly from a page owned by the provider that published it, recorded with the source URL, the observation time and a hash of the content it was read from. No aggregator, competitor comparison database or third-party price feed is used as a price input. The article displays the active reviewed snapshot and its evidence date; readers should recheck the original provider page because a dated observation is not a live quote.

Provider order is alphabetical throughout. No pharmacy pays for inclusion, position or wording, and nothing on this page is a ranking, an endorsement or a clinical recommendation. Read the full methodology, the editorial standard, or download the underlying rows from the Mounjaro comparison.
